The Rose原由創作女歌手 Amanda McBroom（亞曼達麥克布隆姆）所譜寫，她才是原唱者......因為70年代電影「The Rose」(台譯為「歌聲淚痕」)選主題曲..本來這首歌並不被電影製作人看好...但因緣際會的由 主演的女主角 貝蒂密勒（Bette Midler）所喜愛..在錄音的時候，更邀請 亞曼達 親自為 貝蒂 唱和聲。影片推後，獲得了很高的評價，歌曲打進排行前三名，也讓 Bette Midler 奪得了該年度葛萊美「最佳流行樂女歌手」的榮譽，更奪得「最佳女演員」和「年度最佳新人」等兩座金球獎。
